PKEW PKEW PKEW
THE PENSKE FILE
BBQ POPE
Pkew Pkew Pkew are an underrated Toronto pop-punk band who’ve spent a decade touring across Canada, the U.S., and Europe with acts like PUP, Reel Big Fish, and The Flatliners. They’ve appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers, played Riot Fest, released acclaimed records on Side One Dummy, Dine Alone, and Royal Mountain, and even landed “Mid 20s Skateboarder” in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. Their upcoming album Siiick Days—written largely during pandemic isolation and introducing new member Kate MacLean—mixes introspection, humor, and stories of heartbreak, bar nights, communication mishaps, and life on tour. Recorded in Asbury Park with Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls, it’s the band’s most joyful and cohesive work yet, and they’re gearing up for heavy touring and a new wave of well-earned attention.
